private-guides.ch is a division of the outdoor supplier basecamp gmbh based in Interlaken. For over 20 years, we have been organizing unforgettable and unique outdoor events, mainly focussing on corporate events. We imply our extensive experience and our claim for top quality experiences for companies and their employees to our individual guests at private-guides.ch. The events are carried out in a personal setting, most groups contain around 1 – 4 participants per adventure.

Our values

The foundation of our work is nature. We approach this with respect and humility. We consistently go by the principle that we receive what we get from nature…

Put into action, this means we regularly arrange clean up campaigns in highly frequented areas, we try to do without plastic as much as we can and any leftovers get distributed to people in need. In addition, we choose organic products for our meals.

We try to use as little fossil fuel as possible, being the reason why we do without helicopter flights for our activities. This does not mean that we do not offer glacier activities, we simply design them in an environmentally friendly way.

We will gladly accompany you in your event planning starting from the very first step.
In order for us to accurately and efficiently meet your targets, we kindly ask you to define the following in advance:

– Location, area
– Season, date and time
– Number of and profile of participants
– What should be achieved, motives
– Preferences and history
– Budget

Pricing/Budget

Rates vary according to your choice of activity and number of participants. We will be happy to provide you with a tailor made quote.

As a reference point, a half day program costs approximately from CHF 80 to CHF 150. Full day activities, according to our experience, cost between CHF 150 and CHF 250. Glacier events can be arranged from CHF 650. The above figures are per person and serve as a base for your budget planning.

Customization

We at basecamp make sure that our work in the background is carried out as efficiently and cost-sensitively as possible. You can count on a reliable and successful implementation.

We implement the individual wishes of our customers with great pleasure. For adaptations and more extensive event concepts, we plan according to effective effort.

Bad weather alternatives

The activities offered by basecamp often take place outdoors. This is high quality in good weather, in bad weather a positive attitude and the appropriate equipment are required.

In case of bad weather, we are committed to ensure that our guests can enjoy the greatest possible comfort. We try to avoid cancellations. This measure is only taken should there be safety issues.

Bad weather alternatives are available, but must be defined in advance for organizational reasons. In case of a bad weather alternative, there will be costs for both options, which we will keep as low as possible. We advise expecting at least 50% additional costs. We charge the planning of the options according to time and effort.
