Touch the earth

Prefer to keep your feet on the ground while on the move? Soak up the force of Mother Earth?

We will accompany you on an unforgettable journey, be it on hikes in remote areas, on multiple day trekkings including a bivy, skiing in powder or by combining earth and air on a hike & fly.

Browse through the following offers and get inspired to take a memorable tour, either on your own or with your loved ones…

bivouac

Spend the night outside, under the canopy of 1000 stars, soak up the sunset views just a little longer than down in the valley, enjoy a nourishing dinner of freshly cooked pasta and cheese…

Welcome to our alpine basecamp.

Program

An approximate 3 hour hike will take you and your guide to a magical location with a magnificent view of the surrounding peaks. Between arrival and sunset, we will set up camp together for the night ahead, planning accordingly to the weather. Should the forecast promise a clear nocturnal sky, we will sleep under the stars, if not, we will set up or use an appropriate shelter (barn, tarped roof etc.).

Enjoy a hearty dinner against the breathtaking backdrop of the mountains in the glowing evening light.

At dusk, let the day’s impressions pass by one more time before nestling down into your sleeping bag.

You will feel rejuvenated and ready to conquer more distance by foot after a good night’s rest. Of course you will not miss out on your morning coffee or tea and an outdoor breakfast will keep you going strong all day long.

Our journey back to the valley leads us down remote paths from where public transportation then takes us back to our starting point.

Rates and services Bivouac

We use various locations in the mountains for our bivy, our final decision is based on the weather forecast. Depending on where we go, it is sometimes necessary to purchase lift tickets causing our rates to vary. Please find some examples below:

The bivy is also available for children from 8 years on, accompanied by a parent. We use snowshoes for our winter bivy tours.

skiguiding, freeride

Our excitement increases as we take a look at the weather forecast: flurries are on the horizon…
A magic carpet of fresh white snow promises a perfect day out. Off to the storage room to prepare all of our equipment, then set the alarm clock at an ungodly hour in order to be the first to enjoy Mother Nature’s gift.

We are spoilt for choice as to where we will find the best pow, where is it safe enough for us to carve our lines through the freshies with our skis or snowboards. Thanks to our local knowledge, we can be sure to ride the most beautiful runs and couloirs around.

We start off early in the morning. The first gondola takes us to our first stop where we mount skins on our boards/skis and head off with our hearts pounding in anticipation to a nearby peak. And now to the highlight of the day: off we go into the fresh deep snow…

We repeat until exhaustion…care to join?

Ice fishing

Experience the feeling of being a hunter while ice fishing just like our ancestors. Patience and skill are called for if you want to set a hook in a trout. Our guides help you and take care of the proper handling of your catch.

Our prey is lurking under a layer of ice several centimeters thick. First we have to cut a hole in the ice with a razor-sharp drill. Then we lay out the bait and wait. And wait. And wait…

In the meantime, our heart rate has slowed down due to the cold but this immediately changes as soon as the rod twitches for the first time. Now it all depends on skill to make sure the fish doesn’t get off the hook. As soon as you’ve pulled the fish through the hole in the ice, you can start thinking about how you will be preparing your dinner.

By the way, ice fishing is an intense experience for your kids as well. They will be sure to remember this adventure off the beaten track for years to come…

hike

Switzerland offers countless opportunities of a variety of hikes manageable without a guide. Since hiking has become very popular, it can sometimes get very stressful trying to avoid the crowds. Our basecamp private guide will lead you among remote trails through an alpine landscape, serve you a delicious picnic on the shores of a crystal clear mountain lake, drink water directly from the spring, and will show you empowering sites with a view, leaving you with a feeling of awe and gratitude for our natures gifts.

For the more popular trails, no guide is needed, the trails are very well marked. We will be on the remote trails. Discover unique regional features, have a chat with one of the local farmers about his work or marvel at the cultural heritage of the area. Your guide is a local and can tell you many a story about the area.

Depending on your choice, the hikes last from half a day to multi-day tours with overnight stays in mountain huts, in a bivy or in a nice hotel in the valley. Your guide will take care of the organization, catering and coordinating the luggage transport if necessary.

Our favorite regions are the Engadin, the Surselva as well as the remote trails of the Bernese Oberland. We will gladly put together a custom-made offer in the region of your preference.

Rates and services hike

We calculate CHF 350 for a private guide per half day, CHF 550 for a full day, excluding extra costs (meals, lift tickets if necessary, overnight stay on multi-day tours)
